It looks almost like the transparency on a layer didn't show correctly:

Down in the lower right, up where the checker pattern enters on this picture there are a few rectangular white areas. In your editor picture those rectangular areas are more prominent checker patterns. if you turn off the alpha on that layer entirely does it look the same outside and inside editor? I am wondering if something glitched on that layer specifically.

It just occurred to me Sterling, your bottom layer is probably transparent. And since it's an alpha now it's just showing the color behind it (white). That's why it shows checkerboards inside the editor but not outside. Checkerboard is just the default texture used to signify transparency. Hope this helps :>
